Prampram gets new chief November

The people of Prampram in the Greater Accra Region will soon have a new chief after years of the stool remaining vacate.
That will be after the necessary rites and rituals are done to commence the ensoolment of the new leader.

According to credible information picked up by DAYBREAK, the enstoolment is slated for next month November 30, 2021.

A communique to that effect signed by the kingmakers of the Prampram Traditional Area, said the event was rescheduled from its previous October 31, as a result of the date coinciding with the final funeral rites of the late Gbawe chief.

Recalled that, a few months ago, the heads and kingmakers of the three royal gates in the Prampram Paramountcy, in August 2021 served notice to enstool a new king for the area.
They averred that the need to enstool a new chief was as a result of the Paramount Stool being vacant years.

The August press conference which had brought some excitement amongst indigenes of the Paramountcy was expected to bring to an end the chieftaincy disputes facing the area for years.
However, the latest statement signed by the heads of the three royal gates and the Paramount stool father Numo Osabu Abbey IV urged members of the general public to have faith in the kingmakers, and that a new king will be enstooled by November.

The communique also called on the general public to be measured in their excitement during the coronation process to formally outdoor the new king.

The statement said the new chief has already been selected and is due to be confined in the stool room for the necessary customary rites and traditions, to formally pave way for the celebration ahead next month.

Meanwhile, the kingmakers have called on the Chieftaincy Minister to as a matter of urgency bring to book some persons within the Regional House of Chiefs, who had clandestinely attempted to gazette one Nene Tetteh Wakah III as chief of Prampram.

The kingmakers said, but for the timely intervention of the Paramount stool father Numo Osabu Abbey IV who had petitioned the National House of Chiefs against the said gazette process, Prampram the situation would have turned bloody
It said until a new chief is enstooled, Prampram has no Paramount chief.
