Fighting COVID-19: Forestry Commission Promotes Nose Mask Wearing

The Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission (FC), Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, is promoting the use of nose mask among the public to avert the spread of the COVID-19.

The FC will not admit both workers and visitors to their offices throughout the country if they do not wear the nose mask.

The fight against the dreaded bug has been a major preoccupation of the FC in recent times.

It has donated to a number of public institutions, including health facilities, in some parts of the country.

Items running in several thousands of Cedis, including Veronica Buckets with stands, gallons of sanitizers, hand-washing soap, tissue papers, infrared thermometers, hand-washing bowls and various sums of money have been distributed by the FC.

Mr. Afriyie in his private capacity donated several items to nine health institutions in the Ashanti Region to enable the health workers to fight the COVID-19.
