Former President John Dramani Mahama, has joined the thousands of National Democratic Congress (NDC) members, to mourn it former national Women Organizer, Ama Benyiwa Doe.
Auntie Ama reportededly died on Sunday September 19, 2021 at a hospital at Tema where she was receiving treatment.
The former Central Regional Minister under late Prof. John Mills was 71.
In a brief emotional post on Facebook, Mr President described the late Member of Parliament (MP) for the Gomoa West constituency, as one of the “most inspirational icons to have served our party, the NDC, and this great nation”.
The 2020 flagbearer of the NDC continued “She was not only a politician but also a gender activist and champion of women’s rights. Ama Benyiwa Doe was an embodiment of limitless courage, commitment and passion for service”.
