The people of Abuakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region will on December 7, 2020 reward their Member of Parliament (MP), Mr. Samuel Atta Akyea, with massive votes.
The decision of the electorate was because the MP has delivered and will deliver in his next time.
Apart from the development projects that Mr. Akyea has lobbied for the area since he became the MP in 2009, his human relations with the constituents are impeccable.
His parliamentary duties have always been undertaken with all seriousness as his contribution to debates in the august House speaks volumes of his meticulous ways of doing things.
Atta Akyea’s Humility And Respect
The MP, who is a lawyer by profession, has carved a niche for himself with his high level of humility and respect for the people of his area.
He is noted for his warm reception towards all the people in the area, irrespective of religious, ethnic and religious backgrounds.
Some persons within Abuakwa South, affiliated to other parties other than the New Patriotic Party (NPP), could attest to the humble and respectful nature of the MP.
Mr. Akyea, according to the electorate, is always ready to share ideas with persons from diverse political backgrounds toward the development of the area.
As an MP, he has never for once foisted a project on the people, but rather he solicits the views of the people to know what exactly would benefit the people.
Commitment To Party
Mr. Akyea has been described by executives of the NPP at his constituency as someone who is overly committed to the better of the NPP.
Unlike other politicians who use and dump party executives at the local level, he is always in touch with the party executives to fashion out ways of moving the party forward.
It was therefore not strange that the NPP has grown exponentially within the Abuakwa South enclave since 2009.
Mr. Akyea is always involved in social events bordering on party members in the constituency and extends courtesies to persons who are not members of the NPP who notify him of their events.
With the increase in the number of members, supporters and sympathizers, Mr. Akyea’s votes are expected to swell up come December 7, 2020.
At the national level, Mr. Akyea has actively involved himself in all party activities with passion as he has served on certain committees of the NPP in the past and present.
Mr. Akyea has been described within NPP circles as a “less talk, more action person,” who will not struggle for a landslide victory in the Abuakwa South Constituency parliamentary race.
